Sound Assisting Visuals

CREATING SFX

I meticulously document the atmosphere of each on-screen environment, as it facilitates the seamless identification of appropriate sound effects and provides a more vivid portrayal of the entire narrative.

My objective is to captivate the audience’s attention while maintaining a connection to their everyday experiences, ensuring a harmonious blend of familiar and unfamiliar sounds. I particularly emphasize the use of unfamiliar sounds during significant shifts in the atmosphere and scenes that I deem too straightforward, aiming to infuse them with a touch of intrigue and captivation.

Audio Recording/Processing

After I match the sound effect to the video I used audacity to record the sound effects that I made using Reakctor 6 and then change the EQ or add reverb to create my desired sound. Later on I layer them accordingly.

Combining Visuals and Sounds

I made small cuts to the video where I will place the SFX and then match all the sounds to their dedicated locations.
